THINGS SHE SAID is a captivating blend of song, spoken word and still imagery. Singer and composer Nilusha Dassenaike has crafted eight new works based on the writings of Australian artist Barbara Hanrahan. The multi-disciplinary performance features an array of Australia’s finest contemporary jazz and improvising musicians, all enveloped by the enigmatic artwork of Hanrahan, projected as the performance unfolds. A true celebration of Australian art.

The world premiere of Things She Said was presented at the 2014 Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival on Sunday 7 December 2014, VCA Grant St Theatre, Southbank. Since then it has also been presented at the Melbourne Recital Centre and at La Mama Theatre.
